Barings Summer Internship Programme

Barings is seeking candidates for summer internship positions across the investment space including public and private fixed income, real estate, portfolio analytics and distribution.

Eligibility Criteria

• Currently in the penultimate year of university, on track for a 2.1 or higher, with a degree completion date of Spring 2025

Internship Overview

• 9-week programme

• Following the programme, outstanding performers will be considered for a position in our Analyst Programme upon graduation

• Bespoke training programme led by external vendors

• Weekly programmatic events to provide holistic exposure to the business

Primary Responsibilities

• Market research

• Support underwriting efforts for debt/equity opportunities

• Financial analysis and modelling

• Risk analysis and valuation

• Drafting investment memos

• Portfolio monitoring, analysis and valuation

• Ad-hoc projects, presentations, and initiatives

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interested in financial services/investment management

• Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

• Ability to work as a member of a fast-paced, transaction-oriented team

• Self-starter, must be organised and able to work independently

• Ability to prioritise work and multi-task

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
