Influence on the Company

A Business Development Company (“BDC”) is a closed-end investment company that has filed an election to be treated as a BDC pursuant to the Investment Company Act of 1940. Currently, Barings LLC is the investment adviser to three BDCs, Barings BDC, Inc. (“BBDC”), Barings Capital Investment Corporation (“BCIC”) and Barings Private Credit Corporation (“BPCC”). BBDC is publicly traded on the NYSE under the ticker BBDC and BCIC and BPCC are private/non-traded BDCs and not listed but still have similar SEC and Board requirements. The CFO office that supports the BDCs encompasses investor relations, treasury, finance, board of director meetings support, and other ad hoc information to support the BDCs and the BDC Management Team.

Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting a variety of functions critical BDC operations, including portfolio management, investor relations, fundraising and treasury services. Position will require an individual with strong analytical capabilities who can create and review information for the inclusion in materials presented to both internal and external Barings constituents. Specifically, the role will be responsibility for assisting in the creation of investor presentations, board of director meetings, daily cash management and borrowing base requirements. The position will reside in our corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support Treasurer in day-to-day cash management
• Ensure timely and accurate settlement of FX trades
• Ensure borrowing base certificates are prepared and provided to banks
• Support preparation of financial forecasts
• Support preparation of investor presentations and BOD presentations
• Assist with shareholder requests
• Assist with diligence questions from external and internal stakeholders
• Ad hoc support and analysis for the BDCs
• Proactively search out ways to improve and streamline processes.

Qualification

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field
• A minimum of 2-5 years' experience
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial and mathematic abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills used for the collection and communication of information
