BlackRock's six month programme offers service leavers and professional athletes the opportunity to develop their professional skills, enhance their understanding of asset management and the world of financial services and prepare for future careers in the industry.

BlackRock are offering diverse roles and opportunities across the following divisions:

Client Businesses
Develop strategies to grow the business, research and identify new opportunities and continually improve the client experience. Client Businesses roles include Strategy, Business Management, Relationship Management or Sales within our Institutional, iShares and Retail channels.

Corporate
Foster BlackRock’s brand, culture and reputation globally, harnessing BlackRock’s collective creativity to ensure consistent, efficient operations across the businesses, investment products, client channels and regions. Corporate roles include Business Operations, Technology and Compliance.

Investments
Draw from a deep understanding and extensive expertise in the markets to provide specialisations in products for a broad range of institutional and retail clients, from individual investors to some of the world’s largest financial and government institutions. Investment roles include Fixed Income, Equities and Trading.

Eligibility

Military Applicants:

• Service leaver must have served in the regular armed forces with a minimum of 3 years’ service and;

• Have left regular service within the last 12 months.

Professional Athlete Applicants:

• Elite athletes, who have either represented a professional team for their sport, or who have represented their country at Senior international level.

Applicants for this programme should:

• Be able to evidence/reference an interest in financial markets

• Be able to demonstrate high levels of self-motivation and team orientation

• Be a clear and confident communicator

• Be numerically competent

• Have a client service orientation

• Have proficiency in standard Windows packages (i.e, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. We remain focused on increasing the impactful moments that arise when we work together in person – aligned with our commitment to performance and innovation.
