About this role

Summary:

BlackRock is looking for a candidate to join the Global Events Marketing team to lead the Digital for Events team. The candidate and will work at the intersection of Events and Digital Marketing, by connecting the attendee experience through digital touchpoints from pre-event, during through to post-event. This role is grounded in collaboration, innovation and organization and is a unique opportunity to join a high-energy, cross-functional global team with the role located in either our London or New York office.

The successful candidate will have a creative and entrepreneurial drive and be excited to work in a fast-paced environment and ideally have a good understanding of event marketing. They will be able to effectively lead, communicate, project manage and tackle multiple high priority initiatives for the firm’s Global Events program.

Duties:

  • Serve as the central subject matter expert for Event Technology, agile event strategy and MarTech for events
  • Lead the Digital for Events team ~3+ with oversight of workflow and ensuring a cross-trained, highly effective team with responsibilities that include even registration and microsite build, maintaining templates and development of event apps
  • Look for new ways to innovate and develop across tech stack to elevate attendee experiences
  • Account management of key vendors across our Event Technology stack including Cvent, Gramercy Tech amongst others in partnership with Events Leadership
  • Driving operational efficiency across platforms to include quarterly service reviews, SOW’s, budget and reporting, guidelines and processes, platform integrations & any new platform feature roll outs
  • Project manage key initiatives which include: Firmwide Events Calendar, Event Request Form, GEM operational platform for cvent, Global Events Feedback Survey & Virtual Platform integrations
  • Partner with wider Digital teams to ensure Event technology is integrated to our MarTech stack and optimize data flow and insights between platforms
  • May also involve some event on-site support for Events App. (when applicable)

  • Passionate about organizational discipline, e.g. standardization, organization, institutionalization

Education:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, events, digital, and/or operations
  • Digital native; passionate about event technology
  • Experience with Cvent & Qualtrics
  • Experience with integrations
  • Experience with digital events and design, a plus
  • Experience with agile methodology, a plus
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence, a plus
  • B2B or financial services experience, a plus
