The Aladdin Wealth team within Aladdin is bringing the same risk capabilities used by BlackRock's investment teams and sophisticated institutional clients worldwide to the wealth management industry and retail investors, equipping clients with model construction capabilities, risk monitoring tools, and portfolio construction & analytics. Aladdin Wealth partners with clients to help them lead their enterprise risk, building better portfolios, improving their value proposition, and institutionalizing their investment process.
Position Description:
The candidate will join the Client Delivery & Execution team. He/She/They will be an integral part of the team and take responsibility for project managing implementations. In addition to that candidate will be also building our business and servicing our clients. This includes range of activities including client implementations, business development support, and live client servicing.
Key Responsibilities:
The hired candidate will have one or more of the following responsibilities upon joining Aladdin Wealth Tech:
Provide strategic leadership to build a high-performance client delivery team. You will grow other leaders and HIPO talents in the team to achieve the mission and outcomes for the team.
Grow your technical knowledge and leadership skills to become one of the most productive technology teams at BlackRock; be an encouraging leader across the entire engineering organization
You will be responsible for driving execution that leads Aladdin Wealth to achieve its annual revenue targets
Effectively present and lead product demos and being able to influence client decisions on product need and placement into client’s organization, globally
Work in partnership with our product managers, users/client base and engineering teams to implement a product and technical roadmap.
Work in partnership with Relationship managers, client engagement officers and servicing and other delivery teams who own and contribute towards maintaining strong client relationships.
Work with other leaders in AWT to ensure
Become a guide in the BlackRock user/provider model and develop technical expertise of the Aladdin platform; provide best practices from industry on leadership across the team
Take ownership of the technical vision and execution for our portfolio construction, monitoring and API integrations directly impacting the security, scalability, and extensibility of the Aladdin platform.
Lead day-to-day project management of client implementations, including creating / maintaining project plans, managing action items, and coordinating resources across multiple functional areas
Lead client calls and internal meetings as an SME on the implementation approach and AWT product; present project updates to key stakeholders
Communicate client requirements and feedback internally to Build and Product Teams
Work closely with product and product engineering to keep the latest account of product enhancements and rollouts.
Responsible for managing client-side project delivery risk – ensuring that client activities on which Aladdin tasks are dependent are completed to meet baseline milestones as captured in a joint Aladdin/Client project plan.
Chairing project working groups / attending Steering Committees Added Responsibilities:
Work with the global Delivery and product teams to help implement clients on the Aladdin Wealth platform. This includes understanding our client’s business and their requirements, and work with them to implement our product in a way that helps transform their business.
Service Aladdin Wealth Tech clients that are live on the platform working closely with relationship managers.
Bring leadership to the Client Delivery team and help grow the team and business locally in India.
Skills/ Requirements:
12+ years of work experience in a project management or implementations role with focus on financial/investment products/platforms/applications.
B.E./B.Tech & master’s in business studies or management from a good university
Experience in building, maintaining and leading high performing teams
Ability to adapt to horizontal leadership along with focus on activities with high commercial impact
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts simply and clearly to internal team members or clients.
Ability to manage several competing priorities with a hands-on approach.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Logical, structured thought processes and good problem-solving skills
Experience of working with global teams and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences and time zones
Strong organizational skills, experience in managing demanding clients, navigating difficult situations, strong negotiation skills when managing internal stakeholders against competing priorities
Wealth Management Industry knowledge: strong understanding of the Wealth Management space, different client types, and Asset Management concepts
Wealth Management Technology & Systems Knowledge: experience working with complex technical architectures, understanding of wealth management tech stack.
