Responsibilities:
The individual will play a critical role in the development and implementation of a strategic Data Analytics program for Compliance and support the development of the function’s operating platform. They will be required to engage with Compliance, business, and technology teams to implement the goals of the department.
Participate in the strategic development of the Data Analytics program including the design and implementation of appropriate tools and technologies
Liaise with Compliance colleagues and senior management to support the implementation of reusable tools and scripts
Work with teams to identify opportunities to leverage technology and analytics in connection with risk testing and analytical processes
Identify areas to automate existing processes or construct solutions through Python, visualization tools or other data utilities
Propose alternative and creative data-driven approaches to traditional testing methods that enable efficiencies or provide additional coverage
Participate in data analysis activities aimed at supporting functional delivery and other ad-hoc requests
Properly document and maintain all code used to execute testing, build tools, and/or execute data-centric activities supporting the department
Build strong relationships with technology teams to ensure standardization, scale, and accuracy of data through data warehousing
Collaborate with technology teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms
Support in the development, delivery, and distribution of data analytics presentations, documentation and training
Contribute to the development and maintenance of analytics repositories, including code documentation and versioning best practices
Skills and Experience:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, data analytics, or data science is preferred
Strong SQL and Python skills required
Experience with data visualisation tools preferred
Experience working with version control systemsand familiarity with version control workflows in collaborative development environments.Experience with Azure DevOps is desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work with data warehousing solutions to support scalable analytics and reporting. Experience with modern cloud-based platforms preferred.
Familiarity with BlackRock’s Aladdin platform is advantageous
Comfortable navigating complex data environments and translating business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent communication (verbal, written, and listening) and interpersonal skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering preferred
