Role and Impact:
The Global Digital Team, including Digital Data Platforms and Digital Experiences, is a fast-growing global function at BlackRock which seeks to engage a multi-trillion-dollar audience of investors, advisors, and institutions with our diverse range of investment products. We are at the centre of a company-wide focus on expanding our footprint in the digital space, and we operate at the intersection of design, technology, and data. We are constantly driving digital innovation across the domains of web, mobile apps, conversational AI, data models and analytics; while simultaneously driving their implementation, scale, and local adaptations globally.
As we take an innovative approach for our clients, we are building out our team, and we’re looking for an A-player to join our Digital Experiences global team.
Responsibilities:
- Spearheading the development of our backend and frontend stacks, architecting, and building full stack projects
- Being involved in inception to delivery of various features and products on a results-oriented and exciting product roadmap
- Helping the team continuously improve processes and ways of working
- Working with product managers, technical leads, business owners, designers and QA engineers through the entire SDLC, understanding and refining systems requirements, working in Agile model
- Participating in setting coding standards and guidelines for web applications, identify and detail best practices
- Understanding and supporting existing systems, and resolve operations issues while working with other engineering staff located across the globe

- Knowledge and interest in the financial services industry domain

Qualifications:
Is a must:
- At least 3 years of hands-on full stack development experience in TypeScript (preferably) or JavaScript
- Experience with a modern Server Sider Rendering framework, preferably React
- Solid understanding of common JavaScript libraries like rxjs
- Experience with Unit testing (Jest, Vitest)
- Solid understanding and experience of HTML 5 and CSS 3.
- Hands-on experience in developing pixel perfect CSS driven, table-less HTML for all new projects, following development standards and templates as well as industry guidelines
- Experience with back-end technologies: either JS based (Node.js) or java
- Experience with and ability to write CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard build tools
- Ability of writing clean, future proof code with proper unit testing
- Experience supporting Unix/Linux platforms
- Knowledge of at least one distributed version control system ideally Git
- Understanding the Agile project management fields, with an emphasis on Scrum
Is a plus:
- Knowledge and interest in the financial services industry domain
- Good understanding of designing and architecture of applications, according to web standards, security standards
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and Helm
- Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent experience
- Python knowledge, experience with LLM models and AI assisted coding frameworks
- Experience in developing websites for accessibility
- Working with design systems or developing according to design system specifications
- Some experience with modern hybrid headless CMS systems like AEM, or at the least basic understanding of CMS concepts.
