BlackRock’s Aladdin Business supports the investment process through the development,deploymentand support of our enterprise investment management platform (Aladdin®), which isutilizedby executives, portfolio management, riskmanagementand operations teams. The Aladdin Business provides strategic advisory and enterprise investment system services for our clients. Our diverse client base is made up of external institutional asset managers, pensions, insurance companies, banks, and governments around the world. Aladdin is the natural evolution of our long-standing investment in developing sophisticated and highly integrated analytics and systems for managing money.

Aladdin Client Engagement is part of the Aladdin Business focused on maximizing the value of the Aladdin product through engagement and education and working closely with clients to be their trustedconsultant, problemsolver, and businesspartner. This is aclient facingroleand you will be expected to build deep and highly effective partnerships with clients to understand and solve problems.We are seeking someonewith experience in private markets,to bridge institutional client relationship management withexpertisein client industry, financial markets, and the Aladdin ecosystem to maximize our value proposition and client outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own relationships with client’s senior management (CTO, CIO, COO, Heads of Desks) to understand their businessobjectivesand needs and help them use Aladdinexpertiseto achievefirmgoals

  • Understand the client’s business challenges and propose solutionsleveragingAladdin that drive value and adoption

  • Ensure client feedback on product is communicated to the Product Managers and is tracked through successful development and deployment

  • Partner with the client, as well as Aladdin Product Managers to support client’s development needs

  • Assistclients inleveragingAladdin to its fullest across the entire trade and portfolio lifecycle

  • Keep updated on regulatory and operational industry trends to help your clients stay ahead of changing times

  • Supportharvesting and onboardingadditionalclient business by coordinating across product and sales teams

  • Ability to articulate the purpose and value ofAladdin technology applications.

  • Engage with clients to define key strategic and tactical initiatives,leveragingyour internal network to oversee and execute cross-functional project solutions

  • Lead internal stakeholder discussions to guide and align the development of our product by bringing the voice of the client to the table

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in financial services or consultingOR graduate degree

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Finance is preferred

  • Strong interest inprivate markets,FinTech,and Financial Institutions (Banks and Insurance companies) and/or Asset Management

  • Familiarity with buy-side investment management or middle-office workflows is preferred

  • Working understanding ofprivate equity, private credit,andtheir operationalworkflows.

  • Outstanding communication and the ability to present complex concepts simply and clearly to varying audiences

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in sales,eFront,Aladdin, or other financial technology is a plus

  • CFA, FRM, CIMA, or CAIA certification

For Toronto, Canada Only the salary range for this position is CAD$142,000.00 - CAD$195,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
