Position Overview
Blue Owl is seeking a Senior Associate / Associate to join the Structured Products & Fund Finance Team. The team, which is a component of Blue Owl Credit, is responsible for structuring, execution, and placement of a variety of debt solutions for our various BDCs and private funds, all of which support our Direct Lending business. The Structured Products & Fund Finance Team has executed ~50 securitization vehicles (including: Bi-lateral bank facilities and CLOs) representing greater than $20 billion of commitments.
The team is the primary point of contact with major investment banks, insurers and other lenders / investors, while staying closely aligned internally with our portfolio managers, risk management team, and middle / back-office functions to ensure efficient debt solutions for the Firm’s Direct Lending Strategy.
Responsibilities:
Create efficient / optimized portfolios for securitization vehicles by analyzing credit agreement deal covenants and working with risk management / accounting / operations teams.
Prepare sensitivity / scenario analysis for existing and new securitization vehicles.
Compile and gather performance data of underlying investments from various firm wide constitutes (including portfolio managers) to address investor / lender requests.
Work with risk management to analyze impact of amendments on our underlying investment on our securitization vehicles and coordinate with our external lenders / investors where needed.
Assist in the ongoing monitoring of securitization vehicles by working with accounting / operations / risk management.
Liaise directly with rating agencies to ensure timely execution of credit estimates.
Participate in deal closings / amendments which includes coordinating with portfolio management, risk management, accounting, operations, and legal/compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; 1-4 years of experience in structured finance (investment bank, private credit, trustee)
Strong data analysis skills
Strong attention to detail and consistently accurate
Team player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity to learn more
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong work ethic, self-starter, and pro-active
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $110,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
