The Role
Within our International private wealth management business, we are seeking a strong, dynamic client service professional to help drive the continued growth of Blue Owl’s Private Wealth business in Japan. Broad responsibilities include managing existing client relationships, providing excellent client service, and supporting sales activities. Our clients are the major securities companies with strong private wealth businesses.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior sales professionals in the team to provide day-to-day support in managing existing client relationships and building new relationships with prospective clients, including but not limited to, due diligence, onboarding processes, teach-in sessions, events and marketing activities, client engagement activities, ongoing servicing support and stakeholder management
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with other functional teams within Blue Owl, including Marketing, Client Solutions, Legal & Compliance, and Product Strategy, to ensure smooth coordination and execution to achieve business goals
- Develop a deeper understanding of the private wealth and private markets competitive landscape in Japan and build strong product knowledge competencies in alternative assets and Blue Owl’s offerings to become a knowledgeable resource within the team
- Knowledge of financial markets and investment acumen
- Develop strong rapport and relationship with internal stakeholders and external clients to become a trusted partner
Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant professional experience in asset management (prior experience in private markets/alternative assets is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree with strong quantitative, analytical, communication and presentation skills (CFA/CAIA/MBA a plus)
- Fluent in English and native level in Japanese
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Highly motivated, independent, proactive, meticulous, collaborative, goal-oriented team player and multi-tasker with strong work ethic, sense of ownership and accountability
- Flexibility outside of regular working hours as a member of an international team and global organization
