Responsibilities:
- Responsible for oversight of accounting and financial reporting for functional area(s) from end to end, inclusive of Broker Dealer, Distribution Costs, Investments and Valuations, Intangible Assets, Tax Accounting and Cash Flows
- Responsible for managing team of onshore and offshore associates dedicated to functional areas, including training and coaching, management of deadlines and scheduling of tasks
- First level of review and approval on journal entries, reconciliations and relevant workpapers/deliverables
- Proactively providing status updates to Principals on key milestones within functional area(s), with full understanding at any point in time as to where deliverables are in the process
- Own coordination efforts with internal teams on deliverables
- Key point person on internal and external audits / reviews for functional areas Proactively identify enhancement areas within functional processes Responsible for day-to-day management of relevant Financial Applications, inclusive of IT implementations (UAT, status calls, etc.) related to functional areas
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred but not required
- 10+ years of accounting and/or audit experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
- Ability to work with and manage large data sets
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information both orally and in written formats
