The Role:
Blue Owl is seeking an Associate to join the Private Wealth Business Management team – a strategically focused group that partners with senior leadership of Blue Owl’s Private Wealth Distribution. This team spearheads sales activation strategies, lead special projects, drives strategic initiatives, and oversees daily operations within the Distribution team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping strategic initiatives alongside Distribution Leadership and senior management to support and scale the business. This role will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to execute on these responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Distribution Leadership on channel strategy, including market coverage, client segmentation, focus teams, and advisor resources.
Develop and implement sales activation strategies for evergreen and campaign fund launches within private wealth.
Spearhead project planning, strategy, and execution for new frontier initiatives and special projects that support senior leadership in assessing and implementing strategic growth priorities.
Coordinate across business stakeholders to enhance the selling system, optimizing data and technology resources.
Manage and oversee materials and agendas for Channel Operating Committee meetings, monthly Distribution Leadership meetings, and National Sales Calls (NSC) across client channels.
Conduct Quarterly Market Review (QMR) analysis in partnership with the Distribution Leadership Team.
Lead planning and execution for Global Sales Meetings (GSM) alongside the Events team.
Support content creation and talking points for the Head of Distribution.
Provide executive reporting on fundraising results and key initiatives.
Coordinate Market Team training and development in partnership with National Sales Managers.
Liaise between the broader organization (marketing, product specialists, accounting and finance, operations, etc.) and senior leadership to assist in the day-to-day management of the business.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, strategy, finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
3–5 years of experience in project management, business management, or a similar role, preferably within financial services or consulting.
Strong discretion and judgment in handling sensitive initiatives.
Highly organized, with an ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
Proven track record of leading and directing cross-functional teams within or across departments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at various levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
Results-driven, with a high level of attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Ability to execute assigned initiatives while proactively identifying opportunities for added impact.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and foster collaboration.
Proactive and forward-thinking, with a focus on anticipating business needs and addressing them efficiently.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $115,000 to $125,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
