This role is in office Monday to Thursday/Friday.
The Role:
Blue Owl is seeking an Analyst to support business development, product marketing and diligence efforts within the Institutional Capital team based in London. Within the role this individual will work closely with Institutional client relationships, for example, insurance companies, pension funds, family offices and endowment & charities.
This role offers the chance to work alongside other senior and experienced EMEA distribution professionals with a view to transition into a client facing sales role in the future. The ideal candidate is collaborative and detail-oriented with an ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple facets of Blue Owl’s business and grow alongside an innovative, rapidly expanding alternatives asset management platform.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to effectively partner with members of the Institutional Capital, product management, investor relations, marketing and operations teams and other functional groups.
- Balance multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines and demonstrate Blue Owl’s teamwork-based approach.
- Directly support Institutional Capital fundraising efforts and ongoing client service through product marketing and investment & operational due diligence processes. This may include, helping curate and manage, ad hoc investor requests, due diligence questionnaires (“DDQs”) and requests for proposals (“RFPs”) across multiple products.
- Assist with preparation of follow-up items related to client and prospect interactions as well as coordination ahead of meetings with required preparations for meeting attendees.
- Cultivate a strong working relationship with Product Specialists and subject matter experts across the firm to keep abreast of updates and new developments across product lines.
- Become familiar with and able to communicate details around fund products and strategies including investment level information.
- CRM maintenance to ensure investor information, opportunity detail, historical dialogue and upcoming tasks are tracked clearly and monitored continuously.
- Assist with conference and event planning, management and execution.
Qualifications/ Key Skills:
- 1-3 years of professional experience in financial services. Candidates with backgrounds in asset management, private markets, and investment banking preferred, but not required.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, quantitative skills and a collaborative team-based approach to tasks.
- This candidate will need to develop strong working relationships with nearly all business units across the firm to help coordinate and manage client requests, projects and deadlines effectively
- Organised approach to tasks and strong time management capabilities to appropriately meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects with similar and often quick turnaround timelines.
- Strong working knowledge of Office Suite, with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
- Prior knowledge of CRM software is helpful but not required (including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc)
