The Role:

The Private Wealth Global Portfolio Solutions & Strategy team (GPSS) is responsible for launching and supporting Blue Owl’s various commercial products in the wealth channel across Credit, Real Assets, and GP Strategic Capital.

We are hiring a Senior Associate or Vice President to help support the Real Assets Due Diligence team within GPSS. This role will be responsible for a broad range of fundraising and strategic initiatives across Blue Owl’s Private Wealth platform, with a focus on Real Assets. This will include coordinating the launch of our products on large wealth platforms through investment and operational diligence processes, as well as supporting our existing partners through ongoing due diligence requests and routine performance updates. The role will continuously aim to strengthen Blue Owl’s strategic messages to both prospective and existing investors across Real Asset offerings by partnering with portfolio strategists, the investment team, operations and accounting. The role will also be responsible for various strategic initiatives with senior management, the investment teams and across GPSS to support and grow Blue Owl’s Real Asset business within Private Wealth.

This is a high-impact role within an entrepreneurially driven firm. A successful GPSS Senior Associate or Vice President will deliver a strong work product with attention to detail, an eye for finding new solutions or improvements and activating them, is collaborative and has strong time management and organization skills to handle multiple workstreams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a genuine interest in alternative investments, will creatively solve problems and find better ways of working to elevate the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with fundraising efforts and ongoing client service through facilitating the investment and operational due diligence processes for Blue Owl's Real Asset products.

  • Organize and maintain due diligence pipeline for new and ongoing diligence initiatives across Real Asset products including the management of our diligence database of responses

  • Develop due diligence questionnaires ("DDQs"), data-centric portfolio analysis, and other due diligence collateral, as needed, to facilitate operational and investment diligence

  • Facilitate in person and virtual operational and investment diligence on-sites, including securing and preparing internal participants from the Real Assets investment and operational teams

  • Respond to ad hoc queries from and produce recurring deliverables for existing clients in Real Assets products

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to execute inbound investment and operational-related client deliverables in a timely fashion

  • Become familiar with and able to communicate details around fund products and strategies including portfolio and investment level information

  • Understand Operational functions across the firm, including internal processes and policies across functions and geographies, to assist with new products and fund launches

  • Assist with strategic initiatives to support and grow Blue Owl’s private wealth business, including preparing liaising with corporate operations and strategy, investor relations, our international client solutions teams and investment teams on various ad-hoc projects

  • Maintain library of standard DDQ responses through automated online repository, ensuring accuracy and cleanliness of responses

  • Work collaboratively with GPSS and across internal teams to improve transparency into GPSS workstreams and project pipeline

  • Learn new tools and technology that will enable more effective execution of tasks across the team

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience preferably in alternatives or wealth management (financial services experience strongly preferred)

  • Data oriented with strong Excel and/or Tableau skillset

  • Strong communication and project management capabilities

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment while staying focused and organized

  • Driven and a self-starter with the ability to execute assigned initiatives but also go above and beyond

  • Intellectually curious and highly collaborative

  • Bachelor’s degree required

It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $130,000 to $18,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
