Job Description Summary:
Cambridge Associates seeks to hire a business development and client relationship analyst to join our European private client practice. Our private client business serves single family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals with investment assets over $125 million. Based in London, this role is in in the business development and client relationship management team it will involve working closely with client investment teams and the practice operations group to support ongoing needs of new prospect efforts and client maintenance outside of the investment portfolio. The key objective of the successful individual in this role is to work with the private client practice to support growth, requiring a great deal of teamwork and collaboration within Cambridge Associates. The individual should be proactive, energetic, possess strong analytical ability, be extremely well organised, have a problem-solving mindset and be capable of handling a large number of tasks at one time.Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of proposals and presentations in conjunction with team members and investment directors for prospects and existing clients
- Support follow-up efforts to ensure prospect and client movement through the business development pipeline
- Support with creating effective and visually appealing content
- Gather and synthesise research on target markets and prospective clients
- Build and maintain a prospect list
- Update and maintain CRM systems and produce reports when required
Support client teams with managing operational aspects of day to day client relationships by:
- Fielding enquiries not associated with investment aspects such as billing and research access
- Keeping contacts up to date
- Maintaining information on client advisors and investment entities and vehicles / structures
- Build relationships with key departments across CA in order to provide responses effectively and efficiently
- Be a team player, work collaboratively and in close partnership with colleagues across key departments such as investment teams, client relationship management, client accounting etc.
- Communicate on an ongoing basis about the status of enquiries and next steps, both with client teams, relationship management colleagues and clients, where relevant
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a professional service firm [finance/investment experience desirable]
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Strong listening and organisational skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with CRM systems
- Strong ability to learn quickly
- Experience writing proposals and creating presentations, ideally from an investment management environment (desired)
- Knowledge of private client investment industry and basic investment management principles (desired)
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail
