Job Description Summary:

Cambridge Associates is seeking an Associate Director, RFP Writer, to join our London office and support our International Client Directors across EMEA and APAC.
Reporting to the Client Solutions Operations Director (London-based), the RFP Writer will play a pivotal role in driving business development by preparing compelling, accurate, and timely responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and related documents across multiple jurisdictions.
As Cambridge Associates continues to expand, this role will be integral to supporting Client Directors throughout the end-to-end RFP and Due Diligence Questionnaire (DDQ) processes in EMEA and APAC, contributing directly to the firm’s growth.
You will be responsible for coordinating, drafting, and delivering responses to RFPs, DDQs, and other external client requests, ensuring that all materials accurately and positively represent the firm’s investment solutions and services to both prospective and existing clients.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience, possess a commercial mindset, and excel in written communication and collaborative problem-solving. A solid understanding of investments—particularly private markets—and broad industry experience are highly desirable. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

RFP Management

  • Partner with the Head of EMEA and APAC GCS Operations to oversee regional RFP and proposal responses from inception to submission, including project planning, strategy development, and content drafting, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (investment professionals, research, legal, compliance, operations) to gather information required for RFP responses.
  • Collaborate with the Head of EMEA and APAC GCS Operations and Client Directors to drive a scalable, repeatable RFP process, including knowledge database management, message development, data collection, content synthesis, timeline management, approvals, and reporting.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of private markets to prepare high-quality RFP and DDQ responses that showcase the firm’s investment strategies and capabilities.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in private markets through clear, accurate, and persuasive written communication.

DDQ Management

  • Manage the DDQ process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of client due diligence requests.
  • Work with subject matter experts to gather information for DDQ responses.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and client requirements related to due diligence.

Process Improvement

  • In partnership with the Head of EMEA and APAC GCS Operations, review and enhance RFP and DDQ processes to improve efficiency and response quality.
  • Implement best practices and tools to optimize RFP and DDQ workflows.
  • Conduct RFP win/loss analysis, gather client feedback, and identify opportunities to improve client targeting and win rates.
  • Continuously assess and recommend technology enhancements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain data integrity within the CRM (Dynamics) system, including ongoing updates to client and prospect contact information.
  • Conduct initial client screening to assess professional investor suitability, including completion of client classification forms.
  • Collaborate with Client Directors and the onboarding team to ensure successful onboarding of new clients.
  • Assist in planning and executing client events (e.g., roundtables, lunches), including support for client outreach.
  • Support the creation of pitchbooks and marketing materials, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in investment management, with a focus on RFP and DDQ processes for institutional clients, is preferred. Experience in marketing operations or managing large, diverse operational functions will also be considered.
  • Understanding of various asset classes, investment strategies, and financial markets.
  • Proven track record in project management and working across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality in client deliverables.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ideally, experience with AI-enabled software to optimize the RFP process and content creation.
