We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Citibank N.A. Labuan Branch Governance and Operations Officer (Hybrid)(Internal Job Title: Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 - C09) based in Labuan, Malaysia. This is an entry level position responsible for governance and monitoring of day-to-day operations in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement, investigation of client transactions and also managing the entity’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee transactions, work with operations teams for issues or queries related to transactions and reconciliations
• Identify and resolve payments and treasury settlement issues, and make process improvement recommendations to leadership
• Analyze reports to satisfy management requirements, aid in control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services
• Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
• Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
• Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
• Monitor and suggest solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements
• Assist with control activities, projects and the launch of new products and services. In addition, taking the lead for the branch
• Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies
• Third Party Management Coordinator for the branch
• MCA (Manager Control Assessment) Coordinator for the branch
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience between 0-2 years preferred
• Fundamental or basic understanding of banking products, accounting and regulatory policies
• Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
