We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Investment Ops Head - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Ops Sup Sr Manager – C13) based in Hong Kong. In this role, you’re expected to:
- Responsible for leading and supervision of the Wealth Investments and Insurance daily operations team, interact with internal stakeholders including product, sales, operations & technology, risk & control and internal/external stakeholders.
- Act as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members, lead and manage and resolve complex issues with significant wealth customer impact.
- Review, apply appropriate controls, seek delegation approvals, and approver for financial entries and reports.
- Monitor the team’s quality, conduct and efficiency, ensure procedures are followed with crisp execution. Manage training and development needs of assigned personnel, conduct performance evaluations, compensations, staff hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations in maintaining appropriate staffing requirements.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Minimum 6-10 years of experience with background in HK/HK Connect/US Financial Services Industry (Banking/Investment/Insurance Operations related experience) in wealth products including Equities, Fixed Income Bonds and Notes, Mutual Funds, Alternatives Investments.
- Extensive knowledge of Investment/Insurance Operations processes, HKMA, SFC and US Securities regulations, Anti Money Laundering (AML) Requirements, etc.
- Experience with automated end-to-end sourcing tools and proficient in software tools and applications including Microsoft Office.
- Ability and experience working in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with proven organization and time management skills, ability to manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Ability to operate with limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
