The Markets Program Execution & Transformation (MPE&T) Team is part of the front office and works with all global Markets businesses and multiple Citi functions, including Trading, Risk, Finance and Technology to identify, mobilize and execute responses to regulatory and cross-business transformational projects. The primary mission of the Team is to design and implement integrated solutions in the most efficient way for Citi's Markets business and its clients.

The role will be part of the MPE&T Team working on multiple projects / workstreams, assessing and delivering business process and supporting changes affecting multiple stakeholder groups, in response to new mandatory regulatory rulemaking, important supervisory requirements, and Markets discretionary change initiatives. The candidate must be an individual experienced in project management and with deep Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) CVA /Markets/FO knowledge covering products and business lines to be able to drive delivery of complex CVA workstreams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive structured delivery of netted CVA and US FRTB CVA implementations

  • Set strategic direction for program delivery objectives

  • Display intellectual leadership and project management acumen in leading workstreams that will implement a component of initiatives

  • Successfully guide and support key stakeholders, projects and activities as part of the overall book of work

  • Lead the project management and delivery of key changes in a cross-asset capacity and across a number of sales / trading desks and functions including Risk, Technology, and Finance

  • Identify, prioritize, escalate and proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies

  • Develop, mobilize and track stakeholder ownership and delivery of workstream plans

  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders across the seniority spectrum, up to and including Desk Heads and Steering Committee executives

  • Develop and deliver workstream updates to MPE&T leadership and senior management covering project status and plans

  • Provide subject matter expertise on governance and program management to a wide array of internal stakeholders

  • Direct, manage and develop team members and contractor resources (including as the FRTB side lead for Mississauga)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degre

  • Minimum of 12 years of demonstrable experience of running high impact projects, programs as a consultant or internal change group

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing structured business/operational processes and associated documentation

  • Exposure to advanced project management techniques, preferably in a front office trading environment

  • Exposure to analyzing legislative and regulatory texts, and associated legal analysis

  • Understanding of global markets trading products (Fixed Income, Equity, Currencies & Commodities)

  • Understanding of Front Office trading processes across the full trade lifecycle within a large bank/dealer

  • Preferable understanding of market risk and/or capital, and experience with complex data-heavy programs

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong project management / business analysis skills; ability to gain consensus among staff and drive initiatives to completion effectively

  • Subject matter expertise in Credit Valuation Adjustments (CVA), with Market Risk or Trading

  • Experience with the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB), ideally SA-CVA

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and organizational skills to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and dynamic working environment

  • Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively produce procedural documentation. Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues
