Your opportunity

The Investment Operations Analyst role is responsible for the daily completion of numerous BAU tasks, including but not limited to, some of those provided below. The Operations Analyst will also be required to perform ad-hoc tasks which arise, and assist supporting projects which impact the Operations team.

Operations Control

  • Supporting investment teams post trade execution
  • Oversight of trade matching and settlement with custodians & counterparties
  • Oversight of IBOR position keeping, cash & stock reconciliations
  • Oversight of Asset Servicing and Market Obligations
  • Management of daily ASIC OTC Regulatory Reporting obligations
  • Cashflow Management & Reporting for Mandate Clients
  • Fair Value Pricing oversight

Capital Markets Operations

  • Daily ETF basket generation and dissemination
  • Order Management, Market Surveillance, Exchange governance & reporting
  • Service Provider Oversight

Data Management

  • Regional resource to meet the needs of local data requirements
  • Strengthen data integrity, quality and availability for region
  • Interact with other JHI offices, employees and third parties based in different time zones, outside of core business hours, such as the UK, USA and Asia.

Must have skills

  • Strong working knowledge of investment markets & securities across asset classes essential
  • Highly analytical and able to work with complex valuations and data
  • Highly articulate in written and verbal communication
  • Strong client focus for servicing internal and external clients
  • Able to build and foster relationships with investment teams and other stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate and work with local and global teams
  • Reasonable understanding of the regulatory obligations for investment managers within Australia
  • Able to manage small projects and participate in larger business projects

Nice to have skills

  • Strong Fixed Income investment support experience an advantage
  • Strong working knowledge across asset servicing preferred
  • Enthusiastic, approachable and able to work well across teams
  • Good understanding of Excel/VBA, SQL and preferably some experience in data visualisation tools such as Power BI
  • Sound time management skills, with a proven ability to set and work to priorities and deadlines
