Your opportunity

This is a 6-month off cycle internship programme from January / February 2026 for up to six months focusing on first hand experience in the team and discovering what your future would be like with us through induction, on the job learning, skills trainings and networking

• Develop broad, in depth knowledge of equities and derivatives and learn how Janus Henderson Investor’s trading team operates
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and research analysts to develop and implement trading strategies
• Monitor market developments and news to identify potential trading opportunities
• Investigate the properties of Janus Henderson’s orders with rigorous analysis and strive to enhance our Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA)
• Research the components of trading algorithms and investigate their optimal usage
• Work with investment teams in order to better understand the nature of their trading approach, the associated market impact and the implications on their portfolios
• Help identify areas of operational improvement within the trading function
• Develop and improve our existing TCA reports

Must have skills

• University student from a tertiary institution in Singapore, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics or a similar discipline.
• Possess an interest in mutual funds and a basic understanding of the asset management/private banking industry
• Experience of statistics, data analysis and data visualization (e.g. Tableau or equivalent) preferred
• Ability to code in Python, or other relevant language
• Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word and Powerpoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally
• Ability to prioritise own workload and cope well under pressure

Nice to have skills

• Experience in applying machine learning and/or statistical modelling techniques
