Your opportunity

  • Set up and activate accounts, portfolios and products on the Aladdin platform.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing maintenance of middle-office control processes, including coordination with brokers, custodians, fund administrators and other market counterparties.
  • Perform assigned middle-office control activities accurately and within agreed service levels, maintaining strong data integrity and reliable operational controls across Singapore and Asia-Pacific time zones.
  • Work with Operations leadership to improve processes and the regional operating model, contributing ideas and supporting implementation.
  • Collaborate with portfolio management, trading, data operations, technology, compliance, legal and risk teams in Singapore and globally to develop and maintain clear procedures and documentation.
  • Support operational projects through requirements gathering, testing, implementation and post-launch stabilisation.
  • Produce management information relating to investment operations, controls, service levels, incidents and remediation actions.
  • Follow internal policies and regulatory requirements, helping the Middle Office Control function prepare for audits and reviews.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of data quality and operational accuracy.
  • Sound understanding of financial instruments, the trade lifecycle and middle-office processes, or demonstrated ability to develop this knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to follow established procedures while identifying opportunities to strengthen controls.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across operations, technology, compliance and other internal teams in a regional and global environment.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, including coordination across Asia-Pacific, European and US time zones when required.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks through to completion.

Nice to have skills

  • Team-oriented and client-focused: A collaborative approach and consistent focus on delivering high-quality service to internal and external clients.
  • Regional market knowledge: Familiarity with APAC market conventions, local and regional custody arrangements, account opening, settlement practices and Asia-Pacific operating models.
  • Systems knowledge: Experience with Aladdin or another investment-management platform, together with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Communication skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with stakeholders at all levels and across locations.
  • Process improvement: Experience identifying and implementing practical improvements that strengthen controls and operational efficiency.
  • Counterparty interaction: Experience liaising with brokers, custodians, fund administrators and other service providers to resolve operational issues.
