What You’ll Do

Are you passionate about combining finance and technology to drive meaningful impact? Join our team as a Financial Systems Business Analyst, where you'll play a key role in enhancing the firm's financial business processes and related technology improvements. In this dynamic position, you'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure business needs are clearly understood and effectively addressed. You'll also provide vital support to end users, helping them navigate and optimize the applications of our financial systems to keep operations running smoothly.

  • Support the firm’s financial systems: Take charge of various technology systems to include billing, accounting, budgeting, procure-to-pay, expense reporting; and collaborate with IT and business teams on system integrations.
  • Resolve issues: Perform data validation, system testing, and analysis to resolve issues.
  • Ensure smooth transitions: Contribute to training and change management efforts.
  • Drive business process improvements and technology solutions: Handling requirements gathering, solution evaluation, test plan development, and collaboration with developers.
  • Leverage creativity and analytics: Propose innovative solutions that align with finance strategies and build trust with business leaders.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, and 1-3 years of relevant experience with large-scale financial systems (preferably Elite Enterprise or Elite 3E).
  • Process improvement: Proven expertise in process improvement and finance business processes within global, multi-currency, and multi-jurisdictional professional services environments.
  • Strong organization: Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep leadership informed, able to engage across all levels of an organization.
  • Customer Service and communication: Proactive and results-driven, with a commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, plus experience with Elite 3E / Enterprise; Coupa is preferred and a strong interest in developing SQL and data analysis capabilities.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range

  • Chicago: $100,000 - $120,000
