The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. In This Role, You Will
- Manage the distribution of overflow work, overtime staffing, and special project assignments to keep workflow efficient and responsive.
- Build strong connections across the office through a visible, approachable presence that supports morale and addresses performance needs proactively.
- Lead onboarding and orientation for new practice assistants, setting the tone for service excellence from day one.
- Partner with leadership to drive professional development initiatives and deliver targeted training that strengthens team capabilities.
- Oversee staffing schedules, maintain accurate records, and manage attendance to keep daily operations running seamlessly.
- Act as a trusted resource on firm policies and procedures, offering clear, fair guidance at every step.
- Support out-of-town trial teams by anticipating and coordinating staffing and administrative needs with a white-glove service mindset.
We’re looking for a dynamic, service-focused leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and brings:
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead with fairness, diplomacy, and professionalism.
- A sharp eye for organization, scheduling, and operational details that keep teams running at their best.
- A calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure, with a proven ability to navigate sensitive situations thoughtfully.
- A commitment to providing high-quality, responsive support with a client service mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a readiness to embrace new technologies and continuous learning.
