What You’ll Do

Are you a finance professional who thrives on turning complex data into clear, strategic insights? As a Financial Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping our global revenue operations. From evaluating pricing strategies to guiding firmwide billing policies, you’ll work directly with partners and senior leaders to drive profitability, reduce risk, and influence high-impact decisions. This collaborative, high-visibility role offers a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to make a measurable difference across the business.

The schedule for this position may include non-standard working hours to support global operations.

  • Client Pricing Strategy – Evaluate fee arrangements and support proposals that align with business goals.
  • Profitability & Risk Analysis – Monitor revenue trends, develop profitability metrics, and identify financial risks at the client and matter level.
  • Insightful Reporting – Design tools and presentations that turn financial data into actionable guidance for leadership.
  • Policy & Rate Governance – Contribute to billing rate development and ensure alignment with firmwide financial policies.
  • Cross-Functional Projects – Collaborate across teams on ad hoc initiatives related to resource planning, market insights, and client strategy.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with 2-4 years in accounting or finance; experience in a professional services environment preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking – Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, support high-level decision-making and results orientated.
  • Execution & Accuracy – Proven proactive ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining precision.
  • Communication & Collaboration – Excellent interpersonal skills with comfort presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency – Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with accounting systems and relational databases.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. We offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits including comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and retirement. Compensation Range

  • Chicago: $100,000 - $110,000
