Join Kirkland & Ellis as a Corporate Finance Practice Development Coordinator, where you’ll play a vital role within our Marketing & Business Development (MBD) Department supporting one of the Firm’s leading practice areas.
In this role, you’ll enhance the Firm’s experience databases, ensure accurate league table credit for Kirkland’s market-leading deals, and curate data to power business pitches, client presentations, and our online presence. You’ll thrive by thinking analytically, communicating clearly, and working collaboratively with Corporate Finance attorneys and cross-functional MBD colleagues.
We’re looking for an intellectually curious, detail-oriented professional with exceptional project management and communication skills. You’ll be trusted to manage sensitive information discreetly and contribute meaningfully to our fast-paced, team-first environment. This role reports to the Business Development Associate Director for Corporate Finance in New York and collaborates closely with global MBD, research, and communications teams.
Compensation
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in Chicago. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. - Experience & Data Management – Research, analyze, and maintain comprehensive records of corporate finance transactions across industries, geographies, and deal types
- League Table & External Credit – Update and manage external databases to ensure accurate recognition of Kirkland deals
- Pitch & Presentation Support – Create customized pitch materials, responses to RFPs (requests for proposals), and client-facing presentations
- Content Development – Maintain and refresh practice, industry, and attorney content to reflect strategic priorities
- Database Contribution – Support the development and maintenance of a firmwide experience management system
- Research & Analysis – Conduct in-depth company and market research to support business development initiatives
- Education – Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience – 2+ years of professional experience in capital markets, business development, financial services, or project management preferred
- Research & Tools Proficiency – Experience with platforms such as CapIQ, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, Mergermarket, Pitchbook, Refinitiv, and The Deal Pipeline
- Communication Skills – Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, impactful narratives
- Project Management – Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work under pressure
- Collaboration & Initiative – A team-oriented approach with the ability to take initiative, seek feedback, and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Technical Skills – High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint); experience with InterAction, Salesforce, or similar Contact Relationship Management (CRM) systems is a plus
- Attention to Detail – Meticulous data entry, editing, and proofing skills with a sharp eye for accuracy and consistency
