We now have a brand new opportunity working as part of the Legal & General Financial Advice First Line Risk team, as the Systems Analyst you will be responsible for completing basic configuration self-service changes on systems and supporting colleagues across the business with project support for any change implementations, new process implementation or changes to existing processes including business-as-usual change; assisting/supporting development to improve business efficiency and productivity; and acting as an SME for any Group projects that will require changes to our systems.


  • Support, develop and implement the Self-Service function within Legal & General Financial Advice. This will include creating/updating process documentation. Liaison with shared systems support role in Legal & General Home Finance IT operations.
  • Providing system support to business acceptance testing within pre-production and production environments.
  • Providing system support to business users.
  • Document and update procedures to support the implementation of system, calculator, and business process changes. Responsible for the governance / audit trail of changes made to CARs
  • Provision of basic training on systems and advice calculator changes. Act as a technical SME and point of contact to support the resolution of system and advice calculator related issues
  • Monitor, oversee and maintain evidence of L&G Financial Advice's compliance with the Group End User Computing Policy to ensure adherence to requirements and take ownership of and upkeep of the Data Retention policy.
  • Provide project support for new change initiatives including implementations
  • Ensure departmental processes, policies and work instructions are documented accessible and reviewed in line with departmental and Group standards. Communicate changes to departmental process and policy to internal and external parties
  • Always ensure adherence with Consumer Duty accountabilities, as part of Legal & General’s commitment to delivering good customer outcomes
  • Knowledge of robust IT Operations Management and IT Service Delivery based on industry leading frameworks
  • Knowledge and experience of managing stakeholders, internal/external and third parties
  • Knowledge of industry best practice in process, controls, tools, standards and methods in IT Service Management and deployments
  • The ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, deliver fully optimised Services in line with Business demand.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to explain technology issues that are often complex and obscure to non-specialists
