Job Description
We’re currently looking for a Risk Analyst to work with investment desks and consumers of risk analytics data to contribute to the risk analytics delivery to the business and drive the discussion between the business, its vendors, and partners. This position is initially a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
The L&G Asset Management Analytics Solutions team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a firm wide strategic source for instrument, portfolio, and client level risk analytics.
What you'll be doing:
- Working with investment desks and consumers of risk analytics data to contribute to the risk analytics delivery and drive the discussion between the business, its vendors, and partners
- Building an understanding of LGIM current analytics capabilities and solutions; how they are used by various business functions
- Defining a new suite of risk solutions by utilising internal and external solutions
- Working with business users, vendors, and internal IT and Data Teams to evolve the risk analytics product and production framework
- Analysing and testing market risk analytics/reports for the LGIM funds
- Collaborating in the implementation of a new risk platform
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Relevant experience in risk management, analytical or quantitative function, or equivalent
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to drill into analysis to ensure a thorough understanding of the problem and proposed solution
- Be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with other subject matter experts
- Knowledge of VaR, volatility, sensitivities, scenario analysis and risk limits
- Experience of SQL, Python and/or APIs (RESTful)
- Experience of working with 3rd party risk engines is advantageous (Axioma Risk, Bloomberg Port or other)
- Experience of the State Street suite of products advantageous
- Ability to work with users to define requirements/solutions
