Job Description

Are you passionate about unlocking value in operational real estate assets? Join our dynamic team at Legal & General Asset Management as an Alternatives Sector Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact across sectors including Build to Rent (BTR), Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), and Hotels. You’ll be working closely with operators, advisors, and third parties to drive fund performance and deliver strategic objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the Senior Fund Manager in delivering fund performance
  • Interrogating operator business plans to maximise asset performance
  • Identifying and executing value-add opportunities across the portfolio
  • Managing third parties on rent reviews, lease renewals and void re-lettings
  • Liaising with valuers, managing agents and solicitors to support fund operations
  • Preparing and delivering business plans aligned with fund objectives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key advisors and operators
  • Collaborating across teams to ensure consistent and effective asset management

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for:

  • Holding MRICS qualification with 5–10 years post-qualified experience
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of operational assets and alternative sectors
  • Bringing an innovative and energetic approach to asset value creation
  • Possessing excellent academic background with numerical aptitude
  • Being highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Communicating clearly and working collaboratively across stakeholders
  • Showing IT literacy and confidence in using relevant systems
  • Aligning with Legal & General’s values and commitment to Treating Customers Fairly
