We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to work in our Insurance reporting and data collection functions. This role is critical to enhancing our global reporting capabilities and will be involved in all aspects of data collection, regulatory alignment, and strategic reporting needs for our insurance clients. This position will work closely with our third-party partner and M&G teams to optimise our reporting systems and address evolving client and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting and Data:

  • Contribute towards the strategic direction for insurance reporting and data collection across all regions.

  • Drive the evolution of our Clearwater Reporting system to fully leverage its capabilities and ensure smooth integration with M&G’s data.

  • Maintain clear ownership of the reporting function to support client requests effectively and oversee the end-to-end reporting process for insurance clients.

Reporting & Regulatory Change:

  • Keep abreast of evolving insurance client reporting requirements, especially related to new regulatory standards such as ICS, as well as diverging UK and EU regulations, to ensure M&G is position to respond effectively

  • Adapt our reporting processes to accommodate new and evolving requirements, such as Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and climate reporting.

  • Integrate new regulatory data points, especially for our clients in Asia and other emerging markets.

Client Data Requests:

  • Partner with client-facing teams to understand and anticipate insurance clients’ data needs.

  • Proactively support client requests with timely and accurate data, ensuring comprehensive completion of templates

  • Establish robust processes to address client-specific data requirements, reducing ad-hoc data issues and ensuring consistency in responses.

Operational Efficiency and Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements in data collection and reporting, with a focus on mitigating issues and reducing turnaround times.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with Clearwater, to manage data dependencies effectively.

  • Self-improvement mindset within the role to improve data insights, reporting gaps, and improvements proactively.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across departments to advocate for necessary data enhancements and align reporting priorities with broader business goals.

Insurance Reporting and Vendor Management:

  • Assist with oversight of Clearwater as Insurance Reporting vendor including TPT provision

  • Oversight of vendor and process improvement initiatives

  • Understand client requirements and ensure alignment between client and M&G

  • Understanding of Insurance obligations as it relates to reporting and expertise in calculations related to Insurance reporting.

  • Showcase and present Clearwater capability to clients

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience in insurance reporting, data management, or related roles, with a solid background in process improvement.

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards across UK, EU, and Asia, with a specific focus on insurance asset management reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data reporting tools, preferably Clearwater or similar platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills, with an aptitude for problem-solving and process optimisation.
