The Role:
Policy & Standards Senior Specialist is an experienced role supporting the Policy, Governance & Oversight Team Lead, with responsibility to manage the implementation and management of Group-Wide policies and standards within the Asset Management business.
Main Responsibilities:

Management responsibilities:
Provide regular updates to the Policy, Governance & Oversight Team Lead on team activities, key initiatives, and emerging risks or trends.

Oversight Responsibilities:
Provide input into Group-wide financial crime standards.
Coordinate with the 1LoD AM FCO and business teams to ensure the effective implementation of Group Policy and Standards into financial crime operational processes.
Manage 1LoD escalations and queries related to Policies and Standards and seek advice and guidance from the 2LoD Asset Management Advisory team where required.
Request, manage, track, renew, escalate and keep audit of rationale for BU Policy waivers, dispensations and exemptions.
Coordinate with the 1LoD AM FCO and business teams to ensure the effective implementation of changes required in line with updates to the Group Policies or Standards.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Experience with managing junior team members.
Significant experience within / understanding of operational financial crime teams.
Experience in overseeing the implementation of financial crime frameworks within operational financial crime teams.
Significant experience within financial crime, including Asset management sector knowledge and understanding of financial crime laws and regulations in the context of the sector.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders within the financial crime and business teams.
