The Role (Manager Level Role in the Regulatory Reporting team)
To provide a high-quality service for M&G plc as part of the Regulatory Reporting function, that sits within Controls & Assurance, and is responsible for:
- Shareholder Reporting
- AIFMD Annex IV Reporting
- MMF Reporting
- ADV Filing
- Position Limits
- MiFID Reporting
- EMIR Reporting
- SFTR Reporting
The Regulatory Reporting function has three teams each with UK based Manager. These are the Transaction Reporting Team, the Position Reporting Team and the Change Team. We are looking to fill a manager level role who will report directly to the UK Position Reporting Manager who is responsible for the regulations highlighted in the above list.
The role involves assisting with the preparation, review, and submission of Annex IV reports under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions where our Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) are marketed or managed.
In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to support quarterly Money Market Fund (MMF) reporting and also Large Shareholder Reporting, when quarterly reporting is not required.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and validation of Annex IV reports for AIFMs and AIFs in accordance with AIFMD requirements and local regulatory guidance.
- Coordinate with teams across risk, operations, fund accounting, and risk to gather necessary data inputs.
- Support timely and accurate submission of reports to National Competent Authorities (NCAs) across relevant EU/EEA jurisdictions.
- Maintain trackers, internal logs, and documentation to support regulatory audit trails and internal controls.
- Learn quarterly MMF and Large Shareholder Reporting, in order to support both activities.
- Support the UK Managers in their activities, identifying areas for self-development and proactively engaging in training where appropriate.
- Provide support to business-wide initiatives where required.
- Assist with identifying and mitigating risks through the application of business processes and appropriate use of available technology.
- Continually monitor and improve, where necessary, the processes, controls and procedures associated with the team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the whole Reg Reporting function.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification
Experience (Required):
- A minimum of 4 years in Regulatory Reporting with at least 2 years’ experience in AIFMD Annex IV Reporting.
- Familiarity with portfolio level data, exposures, AUM, liquidity profiles etc.
- Experience in regulatory submissions, data lineage, and control frameworks.
Experience (Optional):
- Exposure to Large Shareholder Reporting, also known as Threshold Reporting or Position Aggregation Reporting.
- Exposure to MMF Reporting.
- Understanding of fund structures, hedge funds, private funds, real estate AIFS along with knowledge of the M&G Group structure or an equivalent Group structure.
- Experience with Confluence or MYSS.

Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree level in Finance/ Mathematics/ Economics
- FRM / CFA Certification will be an added advantage.
- Relevant IOC or Investment Management qualification / Certification would be desirable.
