The role:
Investment Analytics are responsible for developing custom solutions to help our front office stakeholders make better investment decisions.
We are seeking a junior analytics developer with the right blend of financial markets knowledge, data exploration, stats/maths and data visualisation skills to help us expand our analytics services to our stakeholders.
There will be significant focus on working directly with investment professionals to build and shape solutions that inform and add value to the investment decision making process, spanning multiple asset classes across public and private markets.
In the role, you will support the continued growth and use of analytics with asset management. Your key priorities will centre around generating new insights to support revenue growth related activity, getting ESG & sustainability views embedded within portfolio management processes and creating investment management tools to enable better decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable solutions to support investment decision making insights across multiple asset classes in an agile development environment.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables from various stakeholders ensuring end-to-end coordination as well as driving prioritisation through effective stakeholder management.
- Transform abstract investment ideas into tangible end-to-end solutions, accompanied by a delivery plan and gaining buy-in from stakeholders.
- Build and maintain a strong network with all key stakeholders in the Front Office and Technology & Change teams.
- Influence your direct stakeholders as you push forward our analytics agenda.
Experience and Key Skills:
- Proactive self-starter who can prioritise and manage their own workload with a solutions focused mindset.
- Strong data analysis & exploration skills and experience of using languages like SQL and Python to derive insights from large data sets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience of managing multiple stake holders.
- Experience of working within financial markets with knowledge of multiple asset classes, preferably experience within an asset manager.
- Proficient in using data visualization and dashboarding platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power BI and TIBCO Spotfire) or building web based apps (using React or Python) to clearly visualise and explain information for stakeholders.
- Relevant professional qualification: IMC, CFA, CQF preferred.
- Experience working with Blackrock’s Aladdin platform a plus.
