About M&G Luxembourg S.A.
The M&G group has maintained presence in Luxembourg since 2002. Our business comprises a Super Management Company (M&G Luxembourg S.A., “MGL”) managing and distributing circa 145bn of AuM across a wide range of UCITS, real estate, private equity, credit and other alternative funds domiciled in Luxembourg and Ireland. MGL also acts as the global distributor of all funds under management via a network of third party distributors and European branches.
Role and Context
Within a dynamic team of 7 persons, the successful candidate will be the primary business partner for all “Central Compliance” matters in co-ordination with the M&G Group Central Compliance team, and will also support the Head of Regulatory Compliance with regards to internal and external regulatory reporting obligations pertaining to MGL and the funds under management.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Act as the Central Compliance business partner for Monitoring, Framework & Reporting on Core compliance matters.
- Assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance Officer with Regulatory Compliance and Liaison with the CSSF and the other regulators MGL has interaction with as part of its branches network or under Freedom to provide services.
- Organise and maintain the internal and external governance reporting calendar.
- Contribute and oversee regulatory reporting to the CSSF and other regulators (CBI, European regulators for branches and FPS when MGL has presence and / or activities).
- Carry out monitoring and assurance (including branches / subsidiaries, G&H, PA Dealing, Complaints, etc).
- Ensure maintenance of Compliance registers and Compliance issues logs and records.
- Act as 2nd line owner of the Conflicts of Interest (COI) registers and reviews.
- Perform and co-ordinate Compliance Risk Assessments.
- Preparation of MGL Compliance Monitoring 3 year Plan and mid-year update* .
- Carry out desktop and thematic Compliance Monitoring reviews in line with the Plan*.
- Maintenance of MGL Compliance owned policies and frameworks.
- Active member of the Local Controls Committee.
- Preparation of Management Information (MI) reporting for internal governance fora.
- Represent MGL Compliance during Fund Boards.
- Participate in local or group compliance or governance fora as required.
- Provision of support for internal audit and external audit including Long Form Report and Self-Assessment Questionnaire process.

Essential knowledge, Job & Personal Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant Compliance experience in the Luxembourg asset management industry (experience within an AIFM required)
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements of UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID and Luxembourg/ European regulatory requirements (for example, CSSF Circular 18/698)
- Knowledge of UCITS products and alternate investment strategies (such as real estate, private equity, infrastructure, MMF)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask, think outside the box and stay pragmatic
- Displays high standards and professionalism, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Supportive team player, displaying positive attitude and collegiate/ cohesive approach to work and work life balance
Desirable Qualifications:
- University degree in Law, Economics (or equivalent qualification)
- Perfectly fluent in English (oral and written), French would be an advantage, knowledge of another language such as French, Spanish, Italian a plus
