The Role:
Risk Management Senior Specialist is an experienced role supporting the Risk Management Team Lead with responsibility to with responsibility to manage the definition and implementation of the Business Unit Risk Appetite (“BU RA”) and execution of the Business Unit Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (“BU EWRA”) across the Life business.
Main Responsibilities:
Define the Business Unit Risk Appetite (“BU RA”) in line with the Group Financial Crime Risk Appetite Framework.
Execute and document the BU EWRA in line with the Group Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment Framework and Methodology and communicate outputs across the business.
Support the development of plans to mitigate financial crime risks identified in the BU EWRA and track implementation of mitigating actions.
Maintain key financial crime risks and Life 1LoD financial crime controls library.
Define and monitor Key Risk Indicators (“KRIs”) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance against the BU RA, providing regular reporting to senior management.
Where required, review and approve Transaction Monitoring (“TM”) and Fraud typologies and threat-based scenarios.
Provide financial crime input into the Business Unit Risk & Control Self-Assessment (“BU RCSA”).
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Significant experience within risk appetite and assessment definition and execution.
Significant experience within FC.
Ability to demonstrate a deep subject matter expertise of the financial crime risks inherent in the Asset Management sector.
Significant experience of conducting FC risk assessments.
Significant experience and understanding of FC risk management controls and process application.
Understanding of the definition and application of Transaction Monitoring controls and typologies.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders within the financial crime and business teams.
Strong organisational and coordination skills.
