The Technology Manager supports the Head of Technology and IFDL CIO in leading the strategic and operational delivery of technology services across Prudential International Assurance (PIA), Investment Funds Direct Limited (IFDL), and Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS). This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and robust technology risk management across all three domains.
The incumbent acts as a key delegate in executive and governance forums, contributing to the development and execution of technology strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory expectations. The role also provides oversight of day-to-day operations, third-party service delivery, and the implementation of risk frameworks such as DORA, SEAR, IAF, and MIFIDPRU. In addition, the Technology Manager plays a central role in supporting the ICARA process, maintaining Reasonable Steps documentation, and ensuring effective collaboration across Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operational Resilience functions.
1. Strategic & Executive Support
· Represent the Head of Technology in executive forums, board meetings, and regulatory engagements.
· Contribute to the formulation and execution of technology strategies that align with business goals and regulatory frameworks.
· Provide strategic insights to support decision-making and long-term planning across PIA, IFDL, and CRS.
2. Technology Risk & Resilience
· Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the ICT Risk Management Framework in compliance with DORA, SEAR, IAF, and MIFIDPRU.
· Operationalise the PIA Information Technology Risk Policy and ensure its integration with CRS and IFDL frameworks.
· Drive the ICARA process for IFDL, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and wind-down planning.
3. Operational Oversight
· Manage day-to-day technology operations, including service delivery, incident response, and change management.
· Ensure robust oversight of third-party technology providers, with a focus on performance, compliance, and issue resolution.
· Coordinate with Poland-based delivery teams to ensure consistent service quality and alignment with business needs.
4. Governance & Compliance
· Maintain Reasonable Steps documentation and support the discharge of PCF-49 responsibilities under SEAR and IAF.
· Ensure compliance with DORA’s ICT incident reporting and resilience obligations.
· Represent Technology in internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and enterprise risk forums.
5. Cross-Business Collaboration
· Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operational Resilience teams to ensure integrated risk management and business continuity.
· Work closely with CRS leadership to align technology solutions with evolving business and client requirements.
6. Leadership & Culture
· Provide leadership and direction to senior technology managers and functional leads across the three business units.
· Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
· Mentor and develop talent within the technology teams to build a resilient and future-ready workforce.
