Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification

We are looking for a skilled and experienced NetApp Storage Administrator (L2/L3) to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in NetApp Cluster Mode (ONTAP) and enterprise SAN/NAS environments, with a focus on NetApp CVO (Cloud Volumes ONTAP) in Azure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3-level support for NetApp CVO and related technologies.

Manage NetApp systems including Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs), volumes, aggregates, and snapshots.

Implement advanced CIFS/NFS solutions, including protocol optimization, access control, replication, and performance tuning.

Perform daily operational tasks such as monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of storage environments.

Lead and resolve complex incidents, changes, and problems within defined SLAs.

Administer and implement SnapMirror and replication solutions.

Conduct proactive health checks, monitor system health, and coordinate with vendors for hardware/software issues.

Participate in critical incident calls, operational reviews, and catch-up meetings.

Analyse and remediate recurring issues through ticket analysis and automation initiatives.

Generate performance and capacity reports, and fine-tune systems to address performance bottlenecks.

Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors for end-to-end issue resolution.

Provide on-call support as part of a rotational schedule.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have:

6+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise storage administration.

Expert-level knowledge in NetApp Cluster Mode (ONTAP).

Strong understanding of SAN/NAS protocols including FC, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS.

Experience in storage replication technologies.

Skilled in capacity planning, performance tuning, and scale-out storage architecture.

Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Proven ability to collaborate with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams.

Desirable:

Experience with NetApp CVO, Azure NetApp Files, or Azure Files.

Hands-on experience in any cloud environment.

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduate/Masters in any discipline
  • Min 6+ years of MS Storage experience
  • Cloud certifications would be an added advantage
