This role sits within the Financial Crime function and supports the Programme Manager in delivering a regulatory change project.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver clearly defined PMO outputs, applying discretion on how best to achieve them within established programme governance frameworks.
  • Provide specialist PMO expertise to ensure efficient and effective delivery across the regulatory workstream, using prior experience of similar situations to guide decisions.
  • Support the Programme Manager with planning, RAID documentation, budget management, governance and coordination across project stakeholders.
  • Monitor adherence to governance processes, escalating issues where required and applying judgement to resolve a range of non‑routine delivery challenges.
  • Suggest improvements to processes and team ways of working based on experience and precedent.
  • Build strong working relationships across programme, and stakeholder teams, maintaining an effective network across the programme.

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Financial Services focused project management roles (Essential)
  • Significant practical experience applying PMO or project delivery skills within defined governance frameworks.(Essential)
  • Ability to interpret governance frameworks and guidelines to deliver outputs effectively and solve familiar problems. (Essential)
  • Experience identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency of delivery.
  • Strong communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills, supported by experience collaborating with peers across business areas. (Essential)
  • Experience escalating unfamiliar problems appropriately.
  • Educated to degree level or holding relevant professional development aligned to project or PMO work (eg: Prince, Agile, etc).
