  • Lead process mining activities to analyse end‑to‑end actuarial valuation processes, identifying control gaps, inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
  • Produce high‑quality documentation covering valuation methodologies, assumptions, business rules and data flows, ensuring clarity and auditability.
  • Apply judgement when adapting established frameworks and procedures to solve a range of problems within agreed boundaries.
  • Design and build automated data flows and processing steps in Python and Databricks that support accurate and timely valuation outcomes.
  • Develop senior‑level Power BI dashboards and Databricks Apps visualisations for insights into valuation movements, model performance and process controls.
  • Use AI assistants (GitHub Copilot, Copilot 365) to accelerate automation design, code generation and documentation, validating assumptions and ensuring alignment with actuarial needs.
  • Provide day‑to‑day support to junior colleagues—reviewing work, offering technical guidance, helping them apply best practice and building their confidence.
  • Work closely with actuarial modelling teams, finance stakeholders and technology partners to refine requirements, interpret valuation impacts and support implementation.

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have) :

  • Solid understanding of actuarial valuation methodology, financial reporting concepts and actuarial data flows.
  • Ability to use skills, knowledge and experience to deliver well‑defined outputs and advise others.
  • Python and Databricks capability for data extraction, transformation and controlled automation.
  • Experience documenting processes, controls and business rules with clarity and precision.
  • Ability to guide junior colleagues while not being accountable for team‑level decisions.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and the ability to challenge constructively.
  • Ability to recognise recurring process issues and propose practical improvements.

Knowledge & Skills (Additional) :

  • Applied data engineering skills in Python and Databricks.
  • Ability to interpret actuarial methodology and valuation results.
  • Development of automated workflows using Unify or cloud based tools.
  • Design of senior level Power BI dashboards.
  • Process re-engineering and control optimization.
  • Coaching and support of junior colleagues.
  • Responsible use of AI design and coding assistants.

Experience:

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience

Educational Qualification:

  • A numerical based degree or Post Graduate qualification
