Department Profile
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

Team Profile
Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (Corporate FP&A) is responsible for leading firmwide planning and forecasting processes, management reporting and performing strategic analyses of the Firm's global businesses to support strategic decision-making. Corporate FP&A supports and interacts with Firm leadership, the Firm's Board of Directors and various Firm regulators. Additionally, Corporate FP&A collaborates closely with Business lines and their Finance teams, Investor Relations, global Controller teams, Treasury, Capital and the Risk Department.

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Vice President (VP) to be a critical team member of the Corporate FP&A and PPNR Forecasting team. This highly visible role will report to the Head of PPNR Forecasting, Corporate FP&A and will work with key stakeholders across the Firm to deliver on PPNR forecast execution, recurring and ad hoc financial analyses for senior Finance leadership and key projects across multiple segments and functions. This position provides a unique opportunity to obtain detailed knowledge and related expertise of the significant aspects of the Firm's global businesses.
Candidates must have proven experience in executing or reviewing CCAR reporting schedules, conducting sophisticated financial and variance analyses, creating data visualizations, problem solving and crafting senior-level presentations.
> Execute the preparation, consolidation, review, and analysis of PPNR forecasts
> Drive the completion and submission of external reporting Y14-A schedules
> Execute detailed analytical review of financials and identifying key themes and narratives
> Perform and present what-if, pro-forma, and attribution analysis in support of the recurring processes and ad hoc requests for senior management and the Board of Directors
> Engage and partner with teams across Finance and the wider organization including: Segment Finance (ISG, WM, IM, Infrastructure), Investor Relations, Firm Strategy & Execution, Tax, Capital, Treasury, Corporate Reporting, Risk, Technology
> Support ongoing audit, risk monitoring, validation, controls and governance initiatives as it relates to PPNR processes

Qualifications
> 7+ years of experience in the financial services sector, preferably with experience in CCAR, FP&A, and/or capital planning
> Experience and expertise in performing financial forecasts and providing financial analyses that highlight key drivers and dependencies impacting results
> Excellent analytical, visualization, writing and presentation skills, including ability to execute complex analysis and summarize and present to senior stakeholders
> Strong familiarity with Y-14A, specifically A.7a and A7b regulatory reporting schedules a plus
> Expertise in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc)
> Experience with technology-enabled forecasting and data visualization tolls a plus (e.g., IBM Planning & Analytics, Essbase, Hyperion, Power BI, Tableau)
> Excellent verbal and written (business writing) communication skills
> Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field preferred; MBA, CPA and/or CFA is a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
