We are seeking a talented and motivated business analyst to join the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Digital Client Experience & Platforms team. The Digital Client Experience & Platforms team defines and drives the online and mobile experiences for Morgan Stanley and E*TRADE clients. In the Product Owner role, you will inform direction and contribute to the creation and on-going success of the latest digital solutions for our clients.

You will be a vital part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering the client-facing authentication and security experience for our digital platforms, including Morgan Stanley Online/Morgan Stanley Mobile, E*TRADE web, E*TRADE Mobile, and Power E*TRADE Mobile. Key Responsibilities:

  • Product owner for a digital agile squad responsible for definition and delivery of core product features and experiences to meet target audience needs consistent with product strategy and vision
  • Areas of focus include the consumer facing UI associated with user authentication (two-factor authentication, password resets, etc.), as well as parts of the identity and access management tech stack.
  • Identify and elaborate on critical user journeys, use cases, workflows, and business processes that align with the product vision/goals and address critical user and control needs
  • Build and maintain prioritized product backlog – identify, groom, and validate epics and user stories for agile sprints; Lead backlog refinement and sprint planning ceremonies to communicate requirements and drive consensus with squad and program stakeholders
  • Work closely with the technology team to assure effective communication of requirements and rapid delivery of key product releases
  • Facilitate product development lifecycle from defining product vision/scope to launching MVP to ongoing management of product to meet KPIs; Drive definition and prioritization of product roadmap, release planning, and development and communication of business requirements
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from the Wealth Management field and client service teams, Risk, Fraud, Cybersecurity, legal and compliance to develop requirements for the products and features managed.
  • Prepare presentations, user demos, and status updates
  • Gather, organize, and assimilate internal and external feedback to identify and prioritize product gaps, enhancements, and new features
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team to develop information/interaction architecture, user flows, wireframes, and visual design comps
  • Team up with program management office to effectively organize and plan product releases
  • Define and track KPIs and product/program adoption and usage metrics – evangelize adoption

Knowledge and Skills Required:

The successful candidate would ideally have the following characteristics:

  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in consumer or B2B web or mobile apps, identity and access management or cybersecurity, within financial services or another industry operating in a highly regulated environment.
  • Independent and motivated self-starter who can manage multiple parallel work streams and initiatives to aggressive deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized and results-driven professional with a desire for learning opportunities and career development
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including ability to create polished presentations suitable for senior management
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, assist with decision support and build rapport across the organization
  • Strong ability to represent and document business requirements, process flows, use cases, user stories and epics
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies, including direct experience with JIRA and Confluence tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on key Excel functionality (i.e., pivot tables and lookup functions), along with PowerPoint for building impactful presentations.BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced degree a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
