We’re seeking someone to join our Award-Winning team as an Associate in Wealth Management Operations to help bring in new client assets, service Morgan Stanley financial advisors, and solve unique problems that are presented nearly every day. We perform a variety of tasks within the Account Transfers department to provide high-level service to our branches, such as coordinating complex account transfers with other brokerage firms and ensuring the correct assets post to the client’s account. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is an Associate level position within Core Services, which is responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Process transactions/tasks including but not limited to approving transfer requests, working with contra firms to resolve settlement issues, returning any assets that were transferred incorrectly, and setting up new assets in our system

• Communicate problems and solutions to branches to help complete transfers and ultimately provide the best experience for the end client

• Work with different partners within the team and on other teams to coordinate settlement for specific assets or accounts that present unique challenges

• Proactively identify ways to improve the team by updating procedures to reduce risk, launching a project to automate a manual task, or streamline daily tasks in other ways

• Follow escalation framework, taking responsibility for identifying, escalating and preventing issues

• Raise issues, question others and offer solutions/ideas

• Meet with the team Manager and area leaders to receive career coaching and opportunities for growth

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Familiarity with Outlook and excel, customer service experience is a plus

• At least 0-2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Salary range for the position: $50k - $80k per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
