The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Commodities, Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.
Position Description:
The Fixed Income Division, Securitized Products Group is currently seeking a full time Analyst/Associate to work on all aspects of executing asset-backed securities transactions. This will include working with clients and the group’s collateral, structuring, lending, trading, capital markets and syndication teams to help pitch, structure, and execute transactions. Analysts will focus on residential real estate, working within the Residential Mortgage Banking team to bring new issue transactions to market.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze collateral tapes in Excel and other software applications for data integrity.
Create financial models to project cash flows and run scenario analysis in Excel and other software applications.
Work with different internal and external counterparts to execute on all aspects of securitization transactions including review of legal documentation.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials for sales distribution.
Qualifications:
An Undergraduate or Master’s degree.
Very strong oral / written communication skills and presentation skills.
Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to think creatively and strategically and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Proactive and results-oriented mind-set.
Understanding of bond math and discounting.
Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Ability to operate collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong quantitative, analytical, and modeling skills.
Preference for candidates with experience in Securitized Products or internships in a Finance-related field who have a genuine interest in the financial markets, specifically Fixed Income.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Analyst, and between $150,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment for Associate. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
