The position is in the FCT global data team working on a new department initiative.
Responsibilities:
> Responsible for delivering projects that integrate data flows within and across technology systems.
> Responsible for leading data modeling sessions with end user groups, project stakeholders and technology teams to produce logical and physical data models.
> Responsible for the technical design of end-to-end job flows that span across systems along with associated quality checks and controls.
> Responsible for creating technology delivery plans to implement system changes.
> Responsible for performing data analysis, data profiling and data sourcing in relational and Big Data database environments.
> Responsible for converting functional requirements into logical and physical data models.
> Assist in ETL development, testing and troubleshooting of ETL issues.
> Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution. Perform L3 support when needed. > Ability to design a database plant consisting of a number of end-to-end data flows
> Ability to design technology solutions which are predominantly rules based data processing systems
> Strong organizational and planning skills
> Strong logical data modelling skills within the Financial Services domain
> Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
> Strong SQL query-writing skills
> Strong analytical, profiling and troubleshooting skills
> Strong knowledge with Big Data/Hadoop platform
> Strong knowledge Unix shell and experience with Python
> Experience in data integration and data conversions
> At least 10 years financial industry technology experience and knowledge of financial services data
> Good verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
> Experience with working on meta data management projects
> Experience with ETL tools
> Experience with Autosys
> Experience with Data Modeling tools (e.g., Power Designer)
