We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Vice President) an exceptional engineer to advance our capability in system deployment, availability, latency, performance, capacity management while also contributing to system functionality development and architecture transformation to next generation cloud-centric, leveraging micro-services architecture and aligned with our DevOps and Agile strategies.

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST’s ‘clients’ include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.
ESTAR
Develops trading & Analytics platform for IST, structured OTC Trading, Market Making & risk platform
for IED
The Listed Sales and Trading team is a diverse and inclusive technology team. We are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high performance global electronic trading systems for Morgan Stanley. We work directly with our institutional clients (sales and trading desks, external clients) to help enable new businesses, improve products, and manage their risk.
Our massively scalable software and systems cover a wide-range of asset classes, from equities, derivatives, ETF, FX, commodities, bonds, swaps and cross-asset instruments. We support fully automated low-latency order handling up to highly complex manual and customized workflow required by some of our advanced users. We develop cutting-edge systems that are transforming our key business and enable transactions to occur in microseconds.
Our sales and trading UI is written in C# - WPF. It is a performance critical application that uses Real-Time data services and allows users to trade on exchanges across the globe.

What you’ll do in the role:

We are looking for an exceptional engineer to advance our capability in system deployment, availability, latency, performance, capacity management while also contributing to system functionality development and architecture transformation to next generation cloud-centric, leveraging micro-services architecture and aligned with our DevOps and Agile strategies.
The candidate will have great opportunity to learn from and influence across a range of businesses and asset classes while collaborating with a talented group of individuals, both locally and globally. Work directly with business facing specialists, infrastructure leads and stakeholders in different development teams in a high-pace environment.
Responsibilities:
Design and Development of UI of the trade origination and execution platform.
Providing technical leadership in the team, in terms of design ideas, people mentorship and code reviews.
Deliver highly optimized code for fast paced latency critical trading application.
Drive UI feature set and overall system codebase.
Engage with global team with various developers, Product management, QA and support personnel.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Required Skills;
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
Bachelor's degree in computer science, STEM or equivalent practical experience and a total years of 10 - 15 years of experience. Strong Computing fundamentals including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
Must have extensive experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core using C#
Hands-on Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) knowledge
Ability to converse verbally and in writing in English with other .NET developers on complicated technical requirements.
Interest in providing mentorship to junior developers.
Have an interest and aptitude for technology.
Can adapt to a dynamic and multifaceted environment where business and technical skills are intermingled.
Preferred Skills:
Experience on GRPC and REST Services
Experience with IPC communication over Named Pipes or TCP
In-Memory Caching using Redis or equivalent technologies
Memory and performance profiling and tuning of application
Low level networking knowledge
