Institutional Infrastructure Solutions: Institutional Market Solutions Team (Vice President)

Institutional Infrastructure Solutions (IIS) is a group within Wealth Management that delivers a world-class service model to Morgan Stanley’s institutional and family office clients. The team partners closely with the Firm’s institutional business lines including OCIO, Morgan Stanley Family Office, Corporate Retirement, Fiduciary Consulting Group and Graystone. The team owns end-to-end client service execution across core processes including Client Onboarding and Maintenance, Money Movement, Investment Implementation, Portfolio Aggregation/Reporting and Billing.

The candidate will help to further scale a premier shared client service model and assist with the day-to-day operations of the broader IIS service team. We are seeking a candidate with a strategic mindset, proven experience in a strategy and/or business management and a solid understanding of the wealth management business.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage and drive strategic projects from end-to-end to support and enhance the institutional client service model within Wealth Management
  • Define complex business problems, synthesize data and provide and execute on tactical and strategic solutions
  • Lead meetings with various stakeholder groups including control partners to socialize concepts, set expectations, communicate updates and gain consensus
  • Proactively identify opportunities for further process improvement to drive consistency and scalability
  • Create and deliver persuasive and data-driven thinking and presentations to senior management to allow for informed strategic decision-making
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of the full institutional client service model and ecosystem

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services and wealth management
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Strategy and/or business management experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, and under strict and changing deadlines
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to perform analysis and develop presentations for senior management
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability and work ethic
  • Strong project management, organizational, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to meet delivery timelines

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
