Liaise with senior management and front office stakeholders to help drive implementation of new laws, rules and regulations across Front Office, Technology, and Operations. Support and provide front office ownership for regulatory inquires and exams. Provide front office ownership for various regulatory processes related to Dodd-Frank requirements, including product categorization, margin, transaction reporting, financial reporting, business conduct rules, substituted compliance determinations. Monitoring existing control frameworks, improving these, and designing, testing, and implementing new controls, as needed, to ensure the Firm keeps pace with the evolving regulatory environment. Reviewing and interpreting Firm and IED specific policies and procedures for application to the business. Identifying opportunities for process efficiencies and implementing corresponding solutions within the team as well as teams external to IED Risk. Developing business requirements and procedures for strategic initiatives. Acting as a key point of contact for requests / escalations from the business. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day a week.
Salary:
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 200,000 and 250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s in Economics, Finance, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Director, Associate, or a related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Risk management; Program management and delivery, change management, and readiness management; partnering with and coordinating across various business and functional stakeholders; influencing cross-functional teams; interacting with multi-level organizations; creating PowerPoint presentations for various levels of management; coordinating multiple project activities; overseeing major organizational change programs including: merger integrations, and corporate restructure; creating and managing major organizational change program roadmaps; creating and delivering presentations to communicate vision, roadmap, work breakdown structure, as well as risks, actions, issues, and dependencies; Visio; collaborating with cross functional teams; Microsoft Office Programs including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint; JIRA; Tableau; and SQL Server.
