The Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Marketing organization is seeking an Assistant Vice President to support the strategy and execution of client-facing marketing campaigns to existing clients of the E*TRADE self-directed investing platform.

Examples of such marketing campaigns include the promotion of cash incentive offers to drive asset growth, account cross-sell campaigns to drive new account openings, the promotion of digital platform features to drive site and mobile usage, and distribution of financial education and thought leadership content. Engaging and retaining this critical client segment supports the growth of assets and revenue and helps to improve the lead quality of prospects for financial advisors.

Areas of Responsibility Include:

  • Develop email, website, and mobile strategy for prioritized marketing campaigns and manage the end-to-end execution from ideation through channel delivery and performance analysis.
  • Identify key target audiences for campaigns, develop client list using the appropriate technical criteria, and review to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate detailed marketing briefs and facilitate the creation of engaging marketing content across channels (e.g. email, website, mobile app) in partnership with creative agency resources.
  • Submit marketing creative for review with the appropriate Legal, Risk, and Compliance reviewers, and engage in constructive dialog to incorporate feedback.
  • Oversee the deployment of approved marketing content across channels and ensure the accuracy of content in production, including detailed regulatory disclosures where applicable.
  • Analyze marketing performance data (e.g., email engagement, website impressions), derive insights to inform future strategy, and socialize results with outside stakeholders.
  • Support team-wide workstreams including updates to the team marketing calendar, compiling performance data across campaigns, and monitoring competitive trends.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage operational workstreams across the different teams required to bring a campaign to market.
  • Experience working with creative agencies and/or developing compelling and engaging marketing content.
  • Experience with analyzing marketing performance data and deriving business insights to evolve marketing strategy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to distill complex topics into simplified narratives for a broader audience, particularly in presentation format using MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a matrixed organization with cross-functional stakeholders including product, marketing operations, data and analytics, legal and compliance, and digital channel marketing partners.
  • Proactive self-starter that can operate in independently in white space, demonstrates a willingness to challenge the status quo, and highlights opportunities for process improvements and changes in business strategy.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry or other industries subject to strict regulatory oversight.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial services business models, asset management and capital markets.

NY - Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 85,000 and 140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs

NJ - Salary range for the position: 85,000 - 140,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus.
