Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Vice President, Software Engineer in New York, New York

Work as a full-stack software developer and build next generation software applications and platforms that support critical front, middle and back-office trading functions. Implement critical business and trading functions to support products such as Mutual Funds, Money Markets and 529 Education Savings Plans. Design large-scale, complex software applications to support high-performing low-latency electronic trading systems for Equity, Options, Unit Investment Trust, and Mutual Funds. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and bugs. Develop and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for cloud deployments. Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost and performance efficiency.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $189,600 and $210,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Consultant, or a related role in the technology field. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Agile; Java/J2EE; GTE Framework; Angular; SQL Server; complex investment products including Mutual Funds, Money Markets and 529 Education Savings Plans; Spring Boot and Apache Camel; acquisition projects including conversion and mergers; microservices architecture; serverless computing; relational and NoSQL databases; containerization technologies including Docker; orchestration tools including Kubernetes; infrastructure as code (IaC) frameworks; object-oriented programming and design patterns; monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus; project management using Jira in Agile environment; automation testing using JMeter; Azure; OpenShift Kubernetes; Apigee; and continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Requires the following: Azure Developer Associate, Azure Fundamentals, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft certification.
