Program Description

During this internship, you will have the opportunity to get an insight into trading and lending activities at a market-leading financial services firm. You will join the Securitized Products Structuring team and can work in a flexible arrangement, 20/30/40 hours per week.

Upon joining, successful candidates will be provided with comprehensive training on the Global ABS market. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the securitization process, from portfolio analysis through capital structure optimization to deal closing with significant responsibilities.

Structurers build computational models to help issuers and investors optimize transaction economics and quantify sources of value and risk. The team is active both in the primary and secondary markets of these products and works closely with its counterparties in London and New York.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in a long-term career in Securitized Products. Successful candidates will have opportunities for career progression and growth in the Institutional Securities Group.

You will:

  • Model existing and design new mortgage-backed and asset-backed securities;
  • Analyze and engineer a variety of financial products across the credit spectrum;
  • Use third-party and proprietary platforms to optimize deal structures;
  • Collaborate on projects with different functions in London or New York.

You have:

  • Ongoing BSc or MSc studies in Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics or Engineering;
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal;
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills;
  • Strong finance or accounting background, as well as basic knowledge of loan and credit products;
  • Computer skills: confident user of Excel, some coding experience is a plus (e.g. VBA, Python).
